This is something easy to talk about, but not quite so easy to follow through. Unconditional love requires one to step outside of their comfort zone and treat others with a respect and dignity that some may not deserve.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; (1 Corinthians 13:4 NKJV)
Love suffers long - showing patience and long suffering with people that don't deserve or with people that constantly test your patience and push you to the edge.
Love is kind - love shows kindness to those who are either unable to return the kindness or return your kindness with an attitude or unkindness.
Love does not envy - you and a coworker are up for the same promotion, they get it and you don't. Love does not envy. The neighbor gets a new car and you can't afford a newer vehicle. Love does not envy. You spent the same amount of time and energy working on a project at work only to have your coworker receive the credit and you're completely looked over. Love does not envy.
Love does not parade itself, is not puffed up - pride, that's it. Love is not proud, love is humble. Love keeps a sense of humility. Humility not backwards and shy, you can be confident but humble. You have to keep a spirit of humility and a teachable attitude.
