A heart without dilution

There are many abstinence programs, purity conferences, and churches that deal only with the acts of sexual impurity, and while this is positive and can be very beneficial, it's not dealing with the root of the problem. Let me say it like this, if you notice there is a leak in your ceiling, but only replace the sheetrock, what happens? You will see that stain reappear very soon and more than likely it will be worse the next time, but if you repair the roof and then the ceiling, your problem will go away.

You may be wondering, what does a leaky roof have to do with sexual impurity?

Simply this, sexual immorality, and any sin for that matter, is caused by a heart issue. The Bible says this in Psalms 24:4-5; 4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.(emphasis added)
In verse 4 he says "he that has clean hands," and he has clean hands because he has a "pure heart." You may be asking, how if I am so dirty from all of my sins, so how do I make myself clean? He tells us in the very next verse, "from the God of his salvation."
First, you must realize that you cannot make yourself clean, the Bible says this in Isaiah 64:6, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." So we know that purity cannot come from ourselves or anyone else because we are all sinners.

Second, you must realize that everyone has sinned, Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" And that the punishment for sin is death, first spiritually(separation from God for eternity is spiritual death), and physically(everyone will die at some point). Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
The second part of that verse lets us know that we can live our life, without the fear of spiritual death, and that God is offering us the gift of eternal life through him. We cannot earn that gift, we just simply receive it, and here is how. Romans 10:9,10,and 13, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."(emphasis added)

If you are reading this blog and you want to be saved, and be truly pure of heart, I encourage you today don't hestiate, confess your sin to God, tell him that you believe, and accept him as the Lord of your life. You will not regret it, and you will be on your way to a heart and life without dilution.

God Bless you, and if you know someone that is struggling with this issue of sexual immorality, please tell them about this page!!
